Okay, here we go... one of my latest "matches" on eHarmony. I've shared this nugget with a few of you, and... well, I figure everyone will enjoy a nice laugh. Note: this one was delivered in the early AM, and closed before I woke up. Obviously, she's one of the ones that bother to look, and didn't like what she saw (reason: "other")
It may be because I'm not the most handsome guy around. Or my picture probably sucks (I'll admit, if I'd had a good flash, I'd have set it up under the camera to fill-flash the shadows)... or it could be just that I'm in "retail sales", judging from how she responded for the most important thing she's looking for in a man:
"Someone who has an education, is financially stable and has good credit. Someone who has patience, and a passion for children. Someone who knows what they want out of life, and knows how to treat a woman."
What first struck me was "gold digger with kid", though she reported that she herself is comfortable enough to be providing fully for her child. Now I'm feeling a little more charitable, so... here's my evaluation of that statement, taking ages both given (hers) and apparent (the boy's) into account. Some humor injected, though:
First and foremost, I want someone who will not ruin what I've achieved myself, and contribute equally (preferably moreso) to the finances. The father of my child was a burger-flipper who ran up a ton of credit card debt, and to this day I still blame him single-handedly for the Wall Street crunch. Also, he freaked out and ran when he found out that I was pregnant at eighteen, so I want a guy who can handle that I have a child, and maybe stick around for one of his own. I'd like someone with enough drive to make more than minimum wage (again, if you become a CEO that's preferable), and would really appreciate it if he doesn't insist on having anal while slapping me like he saw on some porno. Personality optional as long as all of the above are met.
