So, the mods dropped. Modulars, for those not in the know, are how we're supposed to set the shelves. We have two weeks to get them 'set', and not everything's here yet (nor is everything out of the way).

For Christmas.

~.~

I like the season, yes, but... let us enjoy Halloween first. Oh, right, they're not. We can't even dress up in costume. Get the idea they won't let us wear Santa hats either.

That's... just not right. Why are they skipping this holiday?

Because Christmas is THE time of the year most stores break out of the red and go into the black. Thus Black Friday and etc, etc, etc.

There's a reason most companies have their fiscal years end at the END of October. Because with Christmas a Santa fart away they can push for the optimal amount of monetary take away.

And with the economy slowly taking a nosedive, as it kinda has been since Bush came into office - they have to push earlier and earlier every year for those Holiday dollars, which is why we end up seeing Christmas displays getting set up in September, or if you're Michael's (art/craft supply chain) - EARLY AUGUST.

Well then, next year, let's deck the halls with Christmas crazy capitalism cheer! In July!

Better yet, screw it, let's just start in January!

I'm starting to see, now, why Halloween is becoming an unknown holiday in some officials' minds.

Oh, we're selling crap for Halloween, and selling it fast - candy's going out the door. It's that they're not letting us dress up as has become a (very fun) tradition.

... Combine the two. Dress up as elves, dressing up in costume for Halloween.
